Before You Buy - Read This!
Comparing Kid's Creations vs. Other Manufacturers

We want you to be as educated and informed as possible when buying your new swing set. By now you've seen everything the internet has to offer. However do you know what differences are? We decided the best way for you to make an informed decision, was to show you part by part why our sets are different

We've taken the most popular model from one of the largest swing set manufacturers out there. We then took it apart piece by piece and will show you the shortcuts and lower quality you will be getting with the other guys.

Cutting Corners To Save A Buck
This is how large manufacturers bring you lower prices. They cut corners on quality, safety and durability.

Installation Time
Much easier to assemble than the other guys

We hear it all the time, "It took us over 30 hours to put the other guys swing set together". Compare that to our average time of 6-8 hours.

So why the difference in time? Kid's Creations pre-assembles most of the swing set components for you. You just have to bolt it all together. The other guys? Well they ship you a big box of nails and screws and you get to do it.

So how precious is your time to you? You think you're saving money when you buy a $900 dollar big box store swing set. Think again! After you put 30-40 hours into assembling it you'll wish, just like many others, that you had paid a bit more and had less the installation time not to mention the added safety and quality!

Screws, Bolts & Swing Connectors
Bigger is stronger!

Kid's Creations uses larger bolts and screws. Our lumber is thicker and stronger than our competition so we have to!

Swing Chains

Take a look at the chains we use. They are much bigger, so parents can join the fun and they are also dipped in plastic so small fingers and hands don't get pinched.

Canvas Canopy

(Mouse over the images for a larger view)

As you can see our deck size is much bigger than our competition. We need a bigger canopy to cover the square footage. Our canopies are made from 12 oz. vinyl. That is the same material that they make commercial grade tents from.

Deck Planking & Support Beams

(Mouse over the images for a larger view)

The darker wood, used by our competition, is stained to look like redwood. In most cases it is made of Pine or Chinese Fir to cut costs and give the manufacturers a better bottom line.

Aside from the swings, your children are going to be running, jumping and playing on the deck and supports. If you don't read anything else read this! Look at the difference between our supporting lumber. Kid's Creations uses 2 x 6 deck planking vs. the 1 x 6 of our competition. We round our corners a full 1/2 inch to keep your children scrape and splinter free. What would you rather have your kids playing on 2, 3 or even 4 years after you purchase this set?

It is absurd to have only a 1 x 6 as a deck support but that is wha t you get when you buy from the other guys! Kid's Creations swing sets uses a 4 x 6 deck support beam. We build our sets to allow even parents to join in the fun!

Tower Supports

Once again the dark wood is stained to resember redwood by our competition. Here are some samples of the tower support beams that we use and what they use. Notice how our 4x4 beams are bigger than theirs!

Rails, Ladders & Rockwalls

(Mouse over the images for a larger view)

When you mass produce the first thing you start doing is looking at ways to cut corners and costs. This is how a swing set manufacturer makes more money! By selling you a watered down version of a better swing set. The competition's rockwall is a prime example. Are they selling a rockwall or a glorified ladder? By leaving out 4 or 5 planks on their rockwall they are saving money on their bottom line and you are paying for an inferior swing set.

Our ladders are constructed to support moms and dads who want to join the fun. Compare with the ladder our competition uses. Which play set would you want to climb?

Slides

(Mouse over the images for a larger view)

The Kid's Creations slide (green) has a large supporting spine of plastic that runs the length of the slide to support and prevent bending. It is solid and vs. our competition's slides that are honey combed and full of air pockets. The competitions slides may support your young ones now but as they get older and bigger don't expect them to be as sturdy.
